Web development, design, and marketing, led by someone who has already built and sold an agency.
I founded a web business in 1999, built it over eighteen years, and sold it in 2017. Today I work directly with a small number of clients as a freelance web developer, designer, and digital marketing consultant, and bring specialists in from an eighteen-person bench when a project calls for more hands than mine.
Six services, one working relationship
From the first idea to the site staying visible after launch. Take one service or several; each is built to hand off cleanly to the next.
Web development
Sites and stores built to load quickly, run without constant attention, and hold up over years of edits.
View service →Design
Visual identity and interface work that holds up once real content, real users, and real screen sizes are involved.
View service →Conceptualisation
The thinking that precedes design or development, for anyone who knows what they need but not yet what shape it takes.
View service →Search engine optimisation
Technical fixes, content structure, and link building aimed at rankings that hold, not a short-lived spike.
View service →Online marketing
Paid search, paid social, and email campaigns planned around a budget and measured against leads, not clicks.
View service →Social media management
Day-to-day posting, community management, and paid social, run to a plan rather than decided week by week.
View service →Five stages, from brief to launch
Every project moves through the same five stages, in the same order. Skipping one is usually the reason a site or a campaign underperforms.
See the full process →- 01. Discovery and brief. 1 to 2 weeks. A written brief.
- 02. Concept and plan. 1 to 3 weeks. Sitemap and content plan.
- 03. Design. 2 to 4 weeks. Approved visual design.
- 04. Build. 3 to 8 weeks. A tested, staged site.
- 05. Launch and support. Ongoing. A live site, with support behind it.
Why work with one person instead of an agency
- One point of contact. The person who agrees the brief is the person who reviews the work, on every project.
- Senior-level input throughout. Twenty-six years of building and running an agency mean the strategy behind a project receives the same attention as its execution.
- A bench when the work needs it. Eighteen specialists across development, design, SEO, and marketing, brought in project by project rather than kept on as permanent overhead.
- No account manager layer. Direct contact with the person doing the work, not a relay between departments.
- Work that hands off cleanly. Development, design, SEO, and marketing run to inform one another, since one person oversees all of them.
- A track record that predates most agencies still trading. Started in 1999, sold a working business in 2017, still doing the work today.
